Jamal’s Writing Portfolio Template
This site is designed as a template for English 110 students who are assigned to create a digital portfolio based on their course writing. I encourage students to customize and full personalize this template as they desire.
Use this home page to introduce yourself as a student and writer. Feel free to include any other elements of your personality that feels relevant to this portfolio that you want to share with your audience.
Please remember:
Your portfolio must include:
- A homepage where you introduce yourself as a writer (with a short bio) as well as any elements from our course that stand out to you (videos, texts, syllabus, etc.)
- Both Rhetorical Analysis assignments
- Three multimedia elements for each assignment (videos, images, links, music, etc.)
- Revised final draft of your Language and Literacy Essay
- Revised final draft of your Researched Essay
- Revised final draft of your Self-Assessment Essay
Your portfolio may also include additional documents you composed this semester that help demonstrate you’ve met the course learning objectives:
- Earlier drafts of essays
- Revision strategies
- Peer reviews
- Your annotations of course texts or other homework
- In-class reflections and/or freewrites
Your digital portfolio should be easy to navigate and viewers should be able to find what they are looking for without any interference.
